ISLAMABAD
Rotary International President Francesco Arezzo and Rotary Foundation Trustee Chair Holger Knaack are currently on a visit to Pakistan.
A dinner was hosted in Islamabad by Rotary District 63 Pakistan in honor of these two top Rotary International officials last night. In which a large number of Rotary members, Rotary Club Presidents, Past District Governors of Rotary District 63, Rotary International President’s Special Advisor PDG Pubudu De Zoysa from all over the country specially participated.
On this occasion, the Chief Guest President of Rotary International Francisco Arezzo said that we all have to work together to eradicate polio from Pakistan and Afghanistan forever.
He said that I want to do this job during my presidency i.e. before June 2026 and Rotary International is committed to providing all possible assistance to Pakistan to eradicate Polio from this Country.
Addressing the audience, Trustee Chair of the Rotary Foundation Holger Knaack said that every Pakistani should actively participate in the eradication of polio from Pakistan and should support the Rotary Foundation because Rotary International wants to make Pakistan a polio-free country as soon as possible.
On this occasion, Rotary International President’s Special Advisor Pubudu De Zoysa presented the performance Report of Rotary District 63 pertaining to last 18 months and thanked all the participants for making this event a real success.
Past Trustee TRF Mr. Aziz Memon, Past District Governors Chaudhry Saifullah Ijaz, Barrister Adnan Saboor Rohaila and Masroor J. Sheikh also addressed the ceremony.
