RPO Malakand chairs crime review meeting

Regional Police Officer (RPO) Muhammad Ali Khan directed police to increase surprise blockades, snap checking, information-based search operations and police patrols to prevent crimes.
RPO said this while chairing a crime meeting at his office on Wednesday.
SP Investigations, DSPs including DPO Swat, DPO Buner, DPO Shangla and other high ups of the police attended the meeting.
The RPO reviewed police actions taken against drug peddlers, especially ice, illegal arms and other criminal elements and compared the cases under investigation.
He directed concerned officers to use all innovations to ensure the investigation, while emphasizing on the police officers to speed up crackdown against those elements involved in illegal activities.
“Security audits of educational institutions and important and sensitive government buildings should be continued so that no untoward incidents happen,”he added.
RPO Malakand said that police force should take special care of the self-respect of the people by working as a team with full zeal, integrity and honesty.
Muhammad Ali Khan also instructed to keep in touch with the PLC members at the regional level, including maintaining close relations with the elders.
RPO Malakand said that accountability of the police in the region would be continued.
