Muhammad Faiq Shah, founder and chairman of the Amun Taraqqi Party said politicians and rulers have no agenda and program or roadmap to drive the country out of the crisis.
Chairing a meeting here at the party central secretariat on Friday, Mr Shah said people are dying from hunger, poverty and rising inflation while rulers and politicians are enjoying themselves through mere show in assembly sessions.
He said deprivation and poverty are unbeatable and unshaken.
What would benefit people from such democracy?
Faiq said ATP is struggling by becoming the voice of people and raising public issues at every front and forum.
He said his party has been given a viable roadmap and invited youth to become part of it and deliver ATP’s message through a door to door campaign.
The party leader said meaningless debate is being carried out in the upper and lower house of the parliament instead of making legislation in greater public interests and it is a dilemma of our democracy.
He continued to say that the government and opposition were not giving due worth, importance and value to voters.
No working and only everything is being done for personal interests, Shah said.
He said every single member of the national assembly minted double and triple money and then left and people are continuously in lurch, he added.
Furthermore, he said open debate and conversation, all have become part of commercialism, warpath and unnecessary discussion.
The party leader said it is misfortunate that these all have been done by using national wealth and public tax money.
Faiq said that none of them is fulfilling their due responsibilities, and even there is no reduction in personal interests.
He said legislators weren’t talking about the economy, politics and reform in the upper and lower house of the parliament.
He continued to say that billions of rupees of public tax money were lavishly wasted on foreign trips, assemblies’ sessions and meetings and as only meeting, eating and leave, and results are zero.
Shah said billions have been spent on formation of committees in which beloved and relatives were appointed in name of report and research and amassed wealth.
