A plane carrying 30 passengers in Russia was accidentally landed by a pilot on a frozen river near the airport instead of the runway. According to the World News Agency, the lives of the passengers were endangered by the landing of Antonov-24, a passenger aircraft of the Soviet era of Russia, on the frozen river.
Polar Airlines plane landed safely on the Kolyma River near Zeryanka in the Yakutia region, transport accident prosecutors said. All passengers are safe. In a statement issued by the airline company, it has been said that there was no malfunction in the plane.
The plane’s landing in the frozen river was pilot error.
Aviation has formed an inquiry committee to investigate the incident.
