PESHAWAR
Promising little master Muhammad Saim of Sindh lifted the trophy of the All Pakistan National Junior Boys U11 Squash Championship after defeating Ahmed Ali Naz of the Pakistan Air Force by 3-2 in a thrilling final witnessed by capacity crowd present at the Qamar Zaman Squash Complex. Administrator Hayatabad Sports Complex Abid Khan distributed the prizes among the players. He was accompanied by Senior coach Manuwar Zaman, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Finance Secretary Wazir Gul Muhammad and other dignitaries were also present.
The final played between Muhammad Saim and Ahmed Ali Niaz of the Pakistan Air Force provided great thrill for the sitting spectators as both the players gave each other a tough fight with some fine strokes were also witnessed.
Mohammad Saim failed to click in the first two sets won by Ahmad Ali Niaz at 11-13, and 10-12 but later on Saim strike back and marched into victory in three consecutive sets at 12-10, 13-11 and 11-9.
A total of 50 players from all across Pakistan took part in the Championship organized by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Squash Association with the collaboration of Regional Sports Officer and District Sports Officer Peshawar.
