Saudi Arabia’s FM Prince Faisal bin Farhan again demands a cease-fire in Gaza

Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan has said that Saudi Arabia will continue to demand an immediate ceasefire in Gaza to emphasize the creation of a credible path to a just and lasting peace.
According to Arab media, he addressed the meeting of the Human Rights Council held in Geneva yesterday, saying that the Kingdom rejects the ongoing suffering in Gaza and supports an immediate ceasefire.
He said that the bitter reality of the Gaza Strip will affect international security and the credibility of United Nations institutions.
Saudi Foreign Minister said that we emphasized the need for the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights to support the call for an immediate ceasefire and to ensure that Israel supplies food and medicine to the war-torn people of Gaza.
Faisal bin Farhan stressed the importance of giving Palestinians the right to self-determination and the right to a dignified life, saying that the conditions in Palestine are clear evidence of clear violations of international humanitarian law and violations of the Geneva Conventions.
He said that Saudi Arabia condemns the atrocities committed by Israel on Palestinians and demands that Israel be brought to justice.
It should be noted that Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan arrived in Geneva yesterday leading a high-level meeting where he participated in a meeting organized to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
