SBBWU organizes workshop on climate justice

Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University Peshawar organized One-Day Workshop on “Climate Justice” at Govt. Girls Degree College Bacha Khan, Kohat Road here on Tuesday.
The Workshop was attended by 150 students of the College.
The aim of this Workshop was to inculcate “Human Rights with special reference to Climate Justice”.
The workshop was organized by Deputy Registrar Tashfeen Zia.
The resource person was Ms Johar Wajahat, Assistant Professor, Department of Law and Ms Beenish Asmatullah, Assistant Professor Department of English, SBBWUP.
Both the resource person conducted interactive sessions and engaged the participants in activities related to Climate Change, Climate Justice and Environmental Justice.
Prof. Dr Safia Ahmad the worthy Vice Chancellor appreciated the efforts of Ms Zoobia Qamar Principal Govt. Girls Degree College and organizer Ms Tashfeen Zia, Deputy Registrar Affiliation and Monitoring Section for organizing the Workshop.
She highlighted the importance of Climate Justice and Environmental Justice and said that Global warming is the dilemma of the whole world. Pakistan is not the only country which is affected by this but the whole World is suffering from it. We have to play our role and have to take measures to solve this global issue. In the end she added that the university authorities are always there to support their affiliated colleges faculty and students in the field of academics and non-academics activities.
The workshop concluded with the distribution of certificates among the students.
