Governor visits Edwards College, stresses upon faculty to improve ranking of institution

Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Haji Ghulam Ali here Tuesday laid foundation stone of new academic bloc in Edwards College Peshawar and stressed upon faculty members to revive the past fame and educational standard of the institutions.
During visit, KP Governor also planted a sapling on the college premises. Provincial Caretaker Minister, Hamid Shah, faculty members and large number of students were also present.
Governor said that Edwards College was famous for its educational standard but the institution has lost its ranking and reputation that needs to be revived.
He said that improving educational standard of the college was among his priorities adding that resources would be utilized to improve its ranking. “As a resident of Peshawar, it is my responsibility to work for improvement of the institutions that was one for its reputation and standard of education”, he said.
On the occasion, Bishop Manormal Shaw and Principal Edwards College, Dr. Shujat Ali briefed the governor about revamping of the college and expressed gratitude to him for his cooperation and support.
