SC decides to seek assistance from religious institutions

Mubarak Ahmad Sani case
ISLAMABAD
Supreme Court (SC) while deciding to seek assistance from religious (deeni) institutions in Mubarak Ahmad Sani case has issued notice to Council of Islamic Ideology (CII).
SC has issued notice to Jamia Naeemia, Darul Aloom Karachi, Jamiat Ahle Hadith, Quran Academy and Jamiat ul Muntazir.
The court has sought statements in writing within three weeks.
The SC directed any one who wants to give opinion on court’s decision can file it in writing within 3 weeks.
A 3-member bench of SC presided over by Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Qazi Faez Isa took up the case for hearing Monday.
During the hearing of the case Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui counsel for JI said we have too filed review petition in this case.
The CJP remarked your petition has been received just now but we have not read it.
Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui said we think in Mubarak Sani court has not been assisted correctly. The petitioner had not requested for expunging the clauses.
The court ordered to mark number on JI petition besides adjourning the hearing of the case for 3 weeks.
