SC hears govt houses’ allotment case

Islamabad : The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Tuesday ordered Federal and Provincial housing secretaries to establish comprehensive report during the hearing of govt houses’ allotment case.
The case was heard by three-member bench headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Gulzar Ahmad.
The petitioner told the Court that govt employees have given their houses on rent which they constructed on govt plots. They get their rent as well as live in another house allotted to them by the govt.
Chief Justice of Pakistan asked that how many govt employees have attained double allotment. How many hoses have been allotted illegally? Asked Justice Gulzar Ahmad.
The Court remarked that state office is misleading the court, adding that those who mislead court will be jailed.
Justice Mazhar Alam asked whether how many govt employees have attained double allotment.
Additional Attorney General told the court that recovered houses have been allotted to the govt employees as per waiting list.
The Supreme Court while issuing notices to CDA and Advocate General Islamabad adjourned the Court.
