SC restores freeze bank accounts of CDA

Islamabad: The Supreme Court has restored the freeze bank accounts of Capital Development Authority (CDA) and declared null and void the judgment of Islamabad High Court (IHC).
The hearing of the case was conducted by a three member bench of apex court headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Saqib Nisar.
During the course of the hearing, the counsel of CDA told the court that civic agency has setup a commission to fix the wages but the IHC has freeze the bank accounts before the release of report of commission. He prayed the court to restore the bank accounts.
On this, the CJP and head of three member bench of apex court directed the civic agency to pay the prices of lands owned by citizens immediately as it the matter of basic human rights adding that if the price of the land was not paid he would himself conduct the hearing while calling back the case from IHC.
Later, the apex court has adjourned the hearing of the case till indefinite period.
