Supreme Court (SC) has wrapped up suo motu notice taken on use of plastic bottles for keeping medicines.
A two members bench of SC presided over by Justice Ijaz ul Ahsan took up for hearing suo motu notice Tuesday.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan ( DRAP) Asim Rauf appeared in the court.
Justice Ijaz Ul Ahsan inquired can the medicines be kept in plastic bottles. Are there any measures to check the standard and quality of plastic.
DRAP CEO told the court plastic can be used in line with the standard set by WHO. We take action wherever any complaint on use of sub standard plastic is received.
