ISLAMABAD: President Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) has expressed grave concern over disappearance of Riaz Hanif Rahi advocate saying SCBA cannot keep its eyes shut to the disappearance of any of its member. We express severe apprehension about safety and security of lawyers. SCBA stresses that every citizen is entitled to equal protection of law. It is right of every one that one should discharge the obligations of one’s profession fearlessly. The basic rights of every citizen are safe under the constitution and no one is allowed to breach them. Such type of disappearance is tantamount to blatant violation of basic human rights. It is duty of respective law enforcement agencies to hold just and equitable investigation into this matter, he demanded. Online
