Section 144 imposed in Mardan district ahead of July 16 examinations

Deputy Commissioner Mardan, Wasif Rehman, has imposed Section 144 across the district to ensure the peaceful, transparent, and organized conduct of the Provincial Management Service (PMS) and Assistant Excise & Taxation Officers’ written examinations being held under the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Public Service Commission from July 16, 2025.
According to the district administration, these important examinations will take place at 15 designated educational institutions in Mardan, officially declared as examination centers. These institutions include Government Postgraduate College for Women, Girls’ Higher Secondary Schools, Boys’ Model Schools, and other educational establishments.
As per the official notification issued by the Deputy Commissioner, strict restrictions have been imposed within and around the examination centers.
These include a ban on the presence of unauthorized individuals, the use of mobile phones, smartwatches, and other electronic devices, gatherings of more than five persons within 100 meters, bringing in cheat materials, prohibited content, exam papers, or pocket guides, as well as the photocopying, distribution, sale or purchase of guides and booklets.
These restrictions will remain effective throughout the examination period. Any violations will result in strict legal action under Section 188 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC).
Deputy Commissioner Wasif Rehman has advised the public, candidates, parents, and teachers to fully cooperate with the district administration to ensure that the examinations are conducted in a peaceful, fair, and transparent manner.
