Mardan: In a bid to ensure the peaceful, transparent, and orderly conduct of written examinations for teacher recruitment being held under the Education Testing and Evaluation Agency (ETEA) from May 30 to June 18, 2025, Deputy Commissioner Mardan, Dr. Azmatullah Wazir, has imposed Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code across the district. According to the official order, presence of unauthorized individuals within the exam premises, Use of mobile phones, smartwatches, or other electronic devices by candidates or unauthorized persons, Gathering of more than five individuals within a 100-meter radius of exam centers (excluding candidates and staff), Unauthorized reproduction, distribution, or photocopying of exam materials, Sale or possession of pocket guides or any other suspicious preparatory content and bringing any assisting material into the examination halls will be strictly prohibited at examination centers. The restrictions will be effective immediately and remain in force throughout the entire examination period. Violators will face legal action under the prevailing laws, including prosecution under Section 188 of the Pakistan Penal Code. The Deputy Commissioner has urged all candidates and residents to cooperate with law enforcement agencies to ensure a smooth, fair, and disruption-free examination process. Falak Sher
