After the bomb blast incident, the security in Peshawar has been put on high alert along with strict checking at all entry and exit points.
According to a police spokesman, in the light of directions issued by CCPO Peshawar Muhammad Ijaz Khan strict checking is going on at all the entrances and exits of the city, said a statement issued by police.
SDPO Chamkani Zahid Alam has said that every incoming vehicle and person is being checked during the special blockade at the Motorway Toll Plaza.
Police force has also started verification of suspects on local levels in Peshawar, he added and said that information-based targeted search and operations have also been started.
The district administration has also imposed Section 144 to ensure a peaceful environment in Peshawar.
Legal action is being taken against those who violate Section 144, said Zahid Alam.
He said that during the blockade, action is also being taken against vehicles with black glasses.
