PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Health and Finance, Taimur Saleem Khan Jhagra has said that Sehat Sahulat program will be inaugurated in accordance with the already set timeline and Sehat Cards will be provided in Zone-1, Malakand region, in October. The provincial minister expressed these thoughts in a review meeting held with State Life Insurance, said a statement issued here on Tuesday. Jhagra said, “We are in the position to launch this universal health insurance programme in the last week of October.” He also emphasised on mass awareness campaigns to educate people about this universal health insurance programme. The chairman State Life Insurance briefed the meeting regarding the progress on the Sehat Sahulat program. He said that NADRA has been agreed upon providing data for Zone-1. He said that empanelment of hospitals is in progress and a team comprising the officials of the insurance company and health experts is assessing the 54 hospitals in Malakand region. In Zone-II, Hazara Division, this assessment process of hospitals will begin on 29th of current month, he added.
