The cooperation of scholars, lawyers, social leaders, business community and elders is indispensable in promoting peace and order, social development, stability and tolerance in the society.
These views were expressed by Deputy Commissioner Swat while addressing a seminar organized by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Center of Excellence on Countering Violent Extremism on the topic of “Role of Ulemas and Elders in Social Harmony and National Unity”.
The seminar was organized on the direction of secretary higher education Kamran Afridi to raise awareness among the leading people of different sections and sectors of the society for the promotion of peace, stability, and tolerance.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Khateeb KP Maulana Muhammad Tayyab Qureshi, KPCVE Senior Manager Kashif Irshad, various Senior officials of the departments, police officers, scholars, teachers, Tehsil Khateeb, leaders of traders federation, President of Hotels Association Swat Maulana Muhammad Siddique Darul Qur’an, Assistant Qazis, President of Swat Bar Association, head of Darul Uloom Swat, Advocate Samreen Hakeem including , representatives of social organizations, leading elders of different areas of Swat, media and representatives of KPCVE also participated.
Maulana Muhammad Tayyab Qureshi, said that Islam teaches peace and everyone should play its role in maintaining peace and promoting tolerance in the society.
Kashif Irshad said that people’s active cooperation will help in promoting peace and order in the society.
President Traders Federation Abdul Rahim, Hotels Association representatives also spoke on this occasion and called for peace in the society.
The scholars said that they will convey this message to the society and provide full cooperation regarding peace and prosperity in the region.
