PESHAWAR
The federal government has acquitted Muhammad Ijaz Khan, a BS-20 officer of the Police Service of Pakistan (PSP), of all charges after the completion of departmental proceedings initiated against him under the Civil Servants (Efficiency and Discipline) Rules, 2020.
According to an official notification, the inquiry and subsequent review of the proceedings found that the allegations against Mr Khan could not be substantiated. The Prime Minister, being the competent authority, approved Mr Khan’s acquittal under Rule 16(5) of the Civil Servants (Efficiency and Discipline) Rules, 2020.
The notification formally declares the officer cleared of all charges, bringing the departmental proceedings to a close.
