ISLAMABAD: Islamabad capital police apprehended seven criminals including a wanted member of street criminal’s gang. Snatched cash, drugs and weapons with ammunition recovered from their possession, a police public relations officer said. He said that, following the special directions of Inspector General of Police Islamabad Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, Islamabad capital police intensified crackdown against criminal elements in order to eliminate the crime from the city. Following these directives, the Banigala Police arrested accused Shadab Ali and recovered a 32 bore revolver along with ammunition from his possession. Sangjani police arrested an accused namely Yawar Yaseen involved in illegal cylinder filling. Shams Colony police arrested an accused namely Wajhat Ullah and Muhammad Shehryaar involved in illegally cylinder filling. Likewise, the Koral police team arrested two accused namely Aamir Sohail and Aftab Ahmed and recovered 2670 gram hashish from their possession. Kirpa police team arrested a wanted member of street criminals gang namely Muhammad Shafiqe and recovered snatched cash from his possession. Cases have been registered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is underway. DNA
