Seven held in police crackdown on criminals


PESHAWAR: Bhanamari police on Thursday arrested seven alleged criminals including drug pushers and recovered a rifle, two pistols, four kg hashish, 240gm ice, liquor and cartridges from their possession during crackdowns in different localities. According to Noor Haider Khan, SHO Bhanamani, operations were conducted against the criminal elements in Ramdas Chowk, Kohat Road, and Civil Quarters areas of the provincial capital. Following the operations, police arrested seven alleged criminals including some drug pushers and recovered drugs, weapons and ice from their possessions. He said police have registered cases against the arrested persons and an investigation has been launched. The arrested persons have been identified as Shahid, Hafiz Hussain, Raja Gul, Bakht Buland, Abdul Manan, Zarshad and Nasir. Bhanamani Police Station said that the arrested accused belonged to different areas that fell within the limits of the police station and were involved in various criminal activities.
