A policeman, martyred in an attack, was laid to rest on Monday night with state honors at his ancestral graveyard in Bara. It is to be mentioned here that the police soldier, identified as Qowat Khan of Bara subdivision was shot and dead by unknown armed persons at Shalobar Square, Bara on Monday.
Prior to it, funeral prayer of the deceased was offered in Levies Center,Shakas Jamrud that was attended by Capital City Police Officer(CCPO)Muhammad Ijaz Khan, Brigadier Nadeem Mushtaq,Disitrct Police Officer,(DPO)Muhammad Imran,Suprintendent Police(Investigation)relatives of the late police troop and people from different walk of life.
A smart contingent of police officials presented salute and floral wrath were put on the coffin to homage to the deceased soldier.
Speaking on the occasion the CCPO said the police department stood with the family of the deceased, adding that the sacrifice of the personnel would not go in vain.
He assured that those found involved in the crime would be apprehended soon and exemplary punishment would be granted to them.
