Shama cricket club clinched the winning trophy while beating Qamber eleven by 36 runs in 38th hard ball T20 cricket tournament final match played here at Khyber Tatara sports ground,Landi Kotal last day.
Pakistan cricket team fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi was the chief guest on the occasion.
Approximately 42 best teams participated in the tournament that continued for one and half months and a large number of sports lovers witnessed the cricket combat.
Before the start of the final match players of the both teams were introduced to the chief guest.
Batting first Shama club scored 208 runs in 18 overs. Chasing the target Qamber cricket club all out on 176 runs and thus the former won the tournament.
Chief Executive Officer of creative builders Ziaul Haq Afridi who sponsored the tournament announced one lakh rupees for the winning team while fifty thousand rupees were granted to the runner-up.
At the end the chief guest Shaheen Shah Afridi gave away prizes and trophies to the winning teams and shining players.
Nisar Afridi was awarded best player of the tournament while Asif was conferred as man of the match award.
Speaking on the occasion the star player said that Khyber has a lot of sports talent however due to lack of facilities in Khyber it is a waste that needs to be utilized for the best interest of the country.
