Peshawar(INP): The Central Chairman of Qaumi Watan Party, Mr. Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao paid glowing tributes to senior police officer Safwat Ghayur (Shaheed) who was martyred six years ago on this day. Safwat Ghayur was the bravest of men who selflessly led the country`s fight against terrorism from the front and made the ultimate sacrifice in this noble cause.
The country owes a great debt to him, not only for his sacrifice, but also for his three decades of exemplary public service. While we mourn his loss today we also celebrate the life of an extraordinary man, whose bravery, honesty, fortitude and commitment will act as an inspiration to all future generations.
He will forever be remembered as a symbol of sacrifice and courage.
On this Martyrs Day, Mr. Sherpao also paid rich tribute to all martyred police officers and sepoys. He stated that we are proud of our brave sons whose sacrifices will never be forgotten.
