Shinwari Stori football club clinches winning trophy

Shinwari Story football club lifted the winning trophy by defeating Afridi United eleven by 4:3 in penalty kicks in the final match of second edition of Afridi football champion league being played here at Manday Kas ground Sipah,subdivision Bara last day.
Commandant Bara Rifle Col Zabiullah Mehsud was the chief guest on the occasion.
Hundreds of thousands sports lovers from across the Khyber district witnessed the final match and were amused by it.
Before the start of the final match, the players of both teams were introduced to the chief guests.
The match started in a thrilling way and forwards of both teams attacked on one another’s goal however the game remained a draw till the end of final time.
The match was decided on penalty kicks according to which Shinwari Stori scored 04 goals while players of Afridi United put 03 balls in its opponent goal post and thus the former was announced the winner.
Speaking on the occasion Commandant Bara Rifle Col Zabiullah Mehsud urged the youths to participate in games as it is necessary for a healthy life.
He added that with assistance of locals, the forces would preserve the peaceful environment and asked the residents to discourage all anti-social activities and motivate the youth community to play games.
At the end the chief guest gave away trophies and prizes to the winning teams and shining players.
