SHO arrested on charges of heroin smuggling in Peshawar

Police on Tuesday claimed to have arrested a serving SHO, his constable son, on the charges of smuggling a large cache of heroin in a vehicle.
The accused, who was arrested along with his constable son, attempted to smuggle a large cache of heroin in a vehicle. The operation was carried out near Pir Zakori Bridge of Peshawar.
CCPO Mohammad Ijaz Khan immediately suspended the accused SHO Mohammad Shoaib who was serving at Malaguri Police Station.
Criminal cases have been registered against the accused as well as departmental proceedings were directed against the both accused.
SSP Operation Lieutenant Commander (Retd) Kashif Aftab Abbasi also clarified that no concessions would be made to criminal elements and black sheep in the police department.
He said that a comprehensive crackdown has been launched against the drugs peddlers, anti-social elements, and land grabbers in Peshawar.
