Unknown assailants here Thursday shot dead a Sikh community leader in his clinic on Charsadda Road here, police said.
The Sikh leader, Satnam Singh, a hakeem by profession was shot in his clinic situated in front of public transport terminal on Charsadda Road by unknown assailants who managed to escape; police said added that Satnam Singh died on the scene after receiving four bullets. Body of the Sikh leader was shifted to Lady Reading Hospital for post-mortem.
Police said it was a target killing incident and they have collected evidence from the crime scene for investigations. Police said footage of the CCTV cameras installed on Charsadda Road near the crime scene have also been collected and hoped that soon the perpetrator involved in this deplorable crime would be behind the bars.
