KARACHI: Just a day after taking oath as the new chief minister of Sindh, Syed Murad Ali Shah on Saturday ordered the removal of encroachments outside the Chief Minister House. As a public representative, Shah said, his real job was to help and facilitate people instead of causing problems for them.
“It is my objective to create good governance in the province through actions that are according to the law,” he announced and cleared that “Development projects will be completed on time without compromising on their quality.”
Concrete barricades, outside Shah’s official residence on Dr Ziauddin Ahmed road in Karachi, have always been a reason of congesting traffic in the area, particularly during rush hours.
While assuming his responsibilities at the CM House early morning on Saturday, Syed Murad Ali Shah seemed quietly confident that everything in Sindh would go as planned.
To everyone’s surprise, the new chief minister was there at the CM house sharp 9am this morning, received a guard of honour and had a welcome meeting with his secretaries.
“Right man for the right job, is my policy for Sindh and merit comes first for me,” said the Pakistan People’s Party leader.
