Sindh to launch crackdown against civil-clad security guards

KARACHI: Home Department has issued notification to launch crackdown against display of arms in public and civil-clad security guards, INP reported on Friday.
The department has decided to take action against security guards dressed in either civil clothes or uniforms that resemble those of police and Rangers.
Meanwhile, cars that resemble police vans and Rangers vehicles will be seized.
According to the notification issued from the office of acting Home Secretary, Riaz Hassan Soomro, action will be taken against the violators under Section-188.
It should be mentioned here that the development to better security situation in the province has come in days after Murad Ali Shah replaced Qaim Ali Shah as the Chief Minister of Sindh.
