The Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) issued a show cause notice to Supreme Court Justice Mazahir Naqvi after three consecutive days of continuous hearing and sought his reply within 14 days.
The meeting of the Supreme Judicial Council was presided over by Chief Justice Qazi Faiz Isa in which the complaints against Justice Mazahir Naqvi were reviewed.
According to the sources, a notice was issued to Justice Mazahir Naqvi in the light of the evidence that came out in the meeting.
Supreme Judicial Council has said in the show cause that Justice Mazahir Naqvi should respond to the show cause notice within 14 days.
Justice Mazahir Naqvi had objected to the details of the complaints against him being recorded in the show cause.
On the other hand, Justice Mazhar Naqvi, the judge of the Supreme Court, approached the Apex Court against him, got the services of renowned lawyers in the reference against him.
