ISLAMABAD
Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif will announce important reforms in power sector today. Reduction in electricity tariff is expected in the announcement by PM.
Curtailment in power tariff from Rs 6 to Rs 8 per unit is likely to be announced. According to sources PM Shehbaz Sharif will highlight details about revised agreements with IPPs and other matters. The decrease in power tariff is likely to be announced by PM.
PM will preside over high level meeting of power sector and deliver important address to the participants of the meeting. The final decision about slash in power tariff will be made by PM himself.
Meeting will take place today at 2.pm. The key ministers will attend the meeting.
PM will meet business community from all over the country.
