Peshawar: The squad against professional beggars of darul kafala social welfare department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa arrested 9 male and female professional beggars in different localities of Peshawar. On the directives of Special Assistant to Caretaker Chief Minister KP for Zakat Ushr, Social Welfare, Special Education and Women Empowerment Salma Begum, the darul kafala team raided in different busy public places and markets including Gulbahar, Anum Sanum Chowk, Saddar, Ring Road, Nishtar Abad and Kohat Road and arrested 4 male and 5 female professional beggars. The arrested beggars were shifted to darul kafala for detention and their reintegration,following all necessary legal and codal formalities. Talking about the crackdown against professional beggars, Manager darul kafala Hina said that the anti beggars’ operations will be continued and through Vagrancy Restraint Act strict action will be taken against those who are involved in professional beggary.
