In a bid to maintain law and order and ensure public safety, SP Cantt Aitzaz Arif issued special directives to the personnel of the Ababeel Squad during a meeting on Tuesday. The meeting was attended by DSP Cantt Circle Arbab Naeem Haider, DSP Peshtkhara Circle Muhammad Ashfaq Khan, and SHOs from the Cantt Division.
Addressing the police personnel, SP Cantt emphasized the importance of vigilance in crime prevention, particularly in light of the prevailing security situation. He directed law enforcement officers to tighten monitoring of suspicious individuals, vehicles, and motorcycles in the Cantt Division.
“Protecting the lives and property of the public remains our top priority. Officers must perform their duties with honesty and professionalism while maintaining good conduct,” he stated.
The SP instructed SHOs and local police to intensify snap checking and increase security at roadblocks to curb criminal activities. He also highlighted the crucial role of the Ababeel Squad in improving the police force’s image by demonstrating dedication and professionalism.
Furthermore, SP Cantt ordered an enhanced crackdown against those involved in drug-related offenses, particularly the sale and distribution of crystal meth (ice). He stressed the need for strict action against anti-social elements, aerial firing, illegal arms possession, and other criminal activities.
“Patrolling must be increased in streets and neighborhoods to reinforce security measures,” he added.
