“The CSS examination is not just an academic test, it is a test of patience, intellect, and unwavering dedication; a journey that transforms ordinary students into leaders and nation-builders,” said Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Thatta, Farooq Ahmed Bijarani, while addressing young aspirants at a special training session organized by the Rotaract Club an affiliated youth organization of Rotary Club Pakistan at Thatta Press Club.
He urged the youth to pursue their goals with discipline, consistency, and vision, emphasizing that no great success comes without sacrifice. “I locked myself away for sixteen months,” he recalled. “I studied day and night, cutting myself off from social gatherings, friendships, and distractions because real achievement demands total commitment.”
Sharing his personal journey, SSP Bijarani said his determination and hard work enabled him to secure the second position in the 2010 CSS examination and join the Police Service of Pakistan as an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP). “Today, I stand before you not as someone privileged, but as someone who proved that hard work and consistency can change destiny,” he told the participants, earning loud applause from the audience.
The three-day CSS training program, organized by the Rotaract Club at Thatta Press Club, aimed to guide and inspire youth seeking careers in Pakistan’s civil services. The initiative focused on providing practical strategies, mentorship, and motivation for aspirants preparing for the Central Superior Services (CSS) the country’s most prestigious examination.
Addressing the participants further, SSP Bijarani highlighted the significance of civil service as a platform for national leadership. He urged the students to aim high and prepare for top administrative cadres, including the District Management Group (DMG), Police Service, Foreign Service, Customs, and Audit and Accounts groups. “CSS is a gateway to serve the nation — every officer carries the responsibility of shaping a better Pakistan,” he remarked.
Upon his arrival, SSP Bijarani was warmly received by Thatta Press Club members, who honored him with Ajrak, the traditional symbol of Sindh’s respect and hospitality.
The event was graced by prominent personalities including Rotary Club team, along with a large number of students and young journalists.
The session concluded with overwhelming enthusiasm and appreciation from the youth, many describing SSP Bijarani’s words as “a turning point in their lives” that rekindled their determination to serve Pakistan through knowledge, discipline, and integrity.
