SSP Operations Kashif Zulfikar here on Monday visited Peshawar Press Club (PPC) and congratulated its newly elected office bearers including Arshad Aziz Malik.
Accompanied by senior police officers, Kashif Zulfikar was welcomed by Arshad Aziz Malik, General Secretary Irfan Musazai and other cabinet members.
SSP Operations Kashif Zulfikar expressed the hope that the newly elected cabinet would utilize all their energies for promotion of constructive and healthy journalism besides resolution of problems of journalists’ community.
He said that security and peace of Peshawar district are among the top priorities, adding that targeted search and strike operations are being conducted on a daily basis to identify hotspots, while police patrols have also been increased across the district.
SSP Operation furthered that an effective strategy has been adopted to control street crime, which efforts are being made to eliminate it completely.
The doors of our offices, including all police stations, are open at all times for ordinary citizens and civilians, SSP Operations Kashif Zulfiqar added.
Kashif Zulfikar visited various offices and sections of Peshawar Press Club while President Press Club Peshawar Arshad Aziz Malik gave a briefing on the history of the Press Club, later SSP Operations also reviewed the security arrangements of the Press Club.
