PESHAWAR, Aug15: Amun Taraqqi Party (ATP) chairman Muhammad Faiq Shah stressed stability in democratic system is vital to resolving issues of the country generally and particularly smaller federating units generally. Shah while chairing a meeting here at the party’s central executive committee here on Tuesday said the country should be run really as a centre to remove deprivations of all provinces and end the growing unrest among the general masses and eliminate their miseries. “We should set aside own personal interest and work for country’s progress and betterment jointly”, Faiq emphasized financially stronger federating units are guaranteed for a stable centre. He added that the country’s issues cannot be overcome until the establishment of a true public representative government. Shah threw heavy weight behind the upcoming caretaker government, saying that the interim set up would take initiatives to resolve the public’s issues on priority grounds by utilizing all available resources. The country is currently confronted with serious economic, social and other issues, he added. He maintained the centre in coordination with all provinces needed to devise a holistic strategy to address all these serious issues. The party leader on the occasion stressed that the upcoming caretaker government should make pragmatic steps with assistance of the Election Commission of Pakistan to ensure conduct of free, fair and transparent. Shah while talking about undue delay in holding of general elections warned political and economic chaos would further increase if elections won’t be held as per scheduled in the country.
Commenting on rising price-hike, the party chief said the historic inflation has broken the backbone of the poor people.
He added prices are completely reached out of the purchasing power of the common man.
On the other hand, he said the business, trade and industrial activities have been halted owing to current unfavorable circumstances and situation.
Shah called for forging unity and strong coordination among all centre and all federating units and institutions to tackle with current crisis situation.
