ISLAMABAD, Dec 21 (Online): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said any malicious bid to create chaos in the country through terrorism will be crushed sternly.
“ the state will not bow down before any terrorist group or organization”, he said this in a statement issued here Wednesday.
PM has strongly condemned the terror acts in Bannu and other areas.
He went on to say the terrorists will be dealt with as per law and constitution. The external facilitation and hideouts of terrorists will be curbed.
He went on to say the basic responsibility of law and order lies with the provinces. The federation cannot close its eyes.
He said increasing the capacity and efficiency of the provincial government is important in the eradication of terrorism and the federal government will assist in improving the professional capacity of counter-terrorism departments in al provinces.
He said the federal government will work with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government to revamp its Counter Terrorism Department.
The Prime Minister said we will meet all the requirements of the armed forces and including provision of modern and sophisticated weapons and imparting professional training.
He also paid rich tribute to the armed forces fighting against terrorism for their resolve and determination adding the sacrifices rendered by the martyrs will not be allowed to go waste.
National Action Plan (NAP) will be fully implemented to eliminate terrorism, he underlined.
