MARDAN: The office bearers of paramedical association demanded the government to stop political interference in the transfer of paramedics and also solve the problems. In this connection a meeting of the paramedical association was held at district health Officer (DHO) Office Mardan. The meeting was presided over by Fazal Qayyum, president of paramedical association Mardan district. Various problems of paramedics of Mardan district were discussed. The office bearers told the meeting that some elements present in the DHO office create problems for the paramedics and are harassed in various ways. They added that paramedical association leader Muhammad Isahaq chief medical technician at tehsil headquarters hospital Takhtbhai has been transferred without any inquiry due to political interference. They argued that the association expressed great anger on this and requested the higher authorities to stop political interference in transfer posting. They added that a junior doctor has been posted on the seat controller of paramedics in Medical Faculty Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
They strongly condemned and demanded that senior qualified paramedics should be posted on this seat. They demanded that the salaries of government employees should be increased by 100% in proportion to inflation in the federal budget.
They added that paramedics like all government employees will participate fully in any protest at the sit-in in this connection. They also demanded that all the employees working temporarily in various projects of the health department should be made permanent.
