In a remarkable achievement, eight students from the Urdu Department at Women University Swabi have been awarded MPhil degrees for their exceptional research in the field of Urdu literature. Under the guidance of esteemed supervisors Dr. Naqeeb Jan, Dr. Manza Mubeen, and Dr. Majid Mumtaz, these students have delved into the realms of Urdu poets, Urdu legends, and various genres of poetry.
The students, namely Najiba Manan, Hafsa Ejaz, Miss Afsheen Begum, Sonia, Zaini, Aqsi Khan, Afsa Mubarak, and Tamna Shaheen, dedicated their research efforts to exploring the rich heritage of Urdu literature. They embarked on comprehensive studies that covered the works of prominent Urdu poets, delved into the depths of Urdu legends, and analyzed various genres of poetry.
Registrar Waqar Ahmad, Director ASRB Dr Sania and Dr ismail of chemistry were present. Registrar Waqar Ahmad said on the occasion that the research conducted by these students showcased their deep understanding and appreciation of Urdu literature, as well as their ability to critically analyze and interpret poetic works. Their research contributions were deemed significant and original, leading to their successful completion of the MPhil degree program.He said that The Urdu Department at Women University Swabi has recognized the students’ remarkable achievements and acknowledged the valuable contributions they have made to the field of Urdu literature.
The rigorous supervision and guidance provided by Dr. Naqeeb Jan and Dr. Manza Mubeen have undoubtedly played a pivotal role in nurturing the students’ research skills and ensuring their success.
Dr Rania Durani, Dr Asma of Women University Mardan and Dr Majid Mumtaz of Kotli University Azad Kashmir were the external examiners on the occasion.
As the students celebrate their well-deserved achievements, they are poised to make further contributions to the field of Urdu literature, carrying the torch of knowledge and appreciation for the language and its artistic expressions
