A protest demonstration of students of technical college, Bara was held in front of local press club on Tuesday asking the administration of Sahibzada Abdul Qayyum public school, a private school to vacate their hostel, given to them under a four year contract.
Large number of the college learners gathered outside Bara press club, carrying placards inscribed with writings in favor of their demands.
They chanted slogans against the administration of a private school who got hold of the college hostel.
Speaking on the occasion the students leader Qadeer Afridi said that a four year lease contract of the hostel had been signed with the administration of Sahibzada Abdul Qayyum public school however they refused to evacuate the building beside the fact that the contract had already expired.
We have conveyed our grievance to deputy commissioner Khyber, assistant commissioner Bara and parliamentarians from the constituency but ironically they have turned blind eyes towards our problems, he added.
The protestor added that they would utilize all platforms to get their rights.
They threatened that if their demands were not addressed then they would boycott their classes and jointly with students of other institutions, would initiate indefinite agitation till they get hold of their hostel.
