Students demand evacuation of their college hostel

A protest demonstration of students of technical college, Bara was held on Monday asking the concerned authorities to vacate their college hostel, seized by the private school administration for the last five years.
Scores of the college learners took a rally from their college to Khyber Chowk, Bara while carrying placards inscribed with writings in favor of their demands.
They chanted slogans against the district administration and management of the private school who had got hold of the college hostel.
Speaking on the occasion the students’ leader Qadeer Afridi said that a three years lease contract of the hostel had been signed with the administration of Sahibzada Abdul Qayyum public school however they refused to evacuate the building beside the fact that the contract had already expired in 2018.
He maintained that since long, the students of remote areas had been deprived of the hostel facility that was unfair to them, he added.
We have conveyed our grievance to the concerned officials but to in avail, he added.
They threatened that if their demands were not addressed then they would initiate indefinite agitation till they get hold of their hostel.
