A huge cache of heroin and chemicals were recovered in a raid carried out in a narcotics factory here in Kharkai Abad area of Jamrud, district Khyber last night.
Briefing the media persons in a press conference held in Jamrud press club on Monday, District Police Officer, Khyber Saleem Abbas Kulachvi said that on tip-off, a special team of police officials led by Station House Officer (SHO)Jamrud police station,Nafees Khan raided at narcotics factory, established in a private house.
During the search 70 kilogram of fine quality heroin and 10 kilogram of chemicals were recovered from the site.
The accused successfully managed to escape from the spot before the arrival of the police officials, DPO said and added investigation had been kicked off to trace and apprehend the criminals. It was a major action taken against narcotics since 2017, he added.
He vowed that a crackdown of police against the contraband item would be in progress and zero percent tolerance would be exhibited to those who were found guilty in making and smuggling of narcotics.
