Swati condoles demise of Iran’s supreme leader

Speaker of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Babar Saleem Swati on Thursday visited the Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Peshawar to express deep sorrow and heartfelt condolences over the passing of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
During the visit, the Speaker met with Iranian Consul General Ali Banafshekhah and conveyed his profound sympathies, emphasizing solidarity with the leadership and people of Iran during this difficult time.
Mr. Swati recorded his message in the condolence book, describing Ayatollah Khamenei as “not only a prominent leader of Iran but also a symbol of unity, resistance, and inspiration for the Muslim Ummah.” He said the late leader’s wisdom, leadership, and steadfast commitment to justice would always be remembered.
The Speaker remarked that the passing of Ayatollah Khamenei was a great loss not only for Iran but for the entire Muslim world.
He also strongly condemned brutal attacks and acts of aggression against Iran, calling them a serious threat to regional stability and global peace, and emphasized the need for dialogue, mutual respect, and peace in the region.
He prayed that Allah Almighty grant the departed soul the highest place in Jannah and give patience and strength to the people of Iran to bear the loss.
