PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Provincial Minister for Social Welfare, Syed Qasim Ali Shah, congratulated the minority community on the occasion of Christmas, emphasizing that under the patronage of the provincial government, all minorities have full freedom to celebrate their religious rituals and festivals according to their beliefs. He shared these remarks while addressing a Christmas Eve function at Peshawar Church on December 25, where he was the chief guest. During the event, the provincial minister cut a Christmas cake and extended his greetings to the minority community. He highlighted that the PTI provincial government takes special care of the minority community, with Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ali Amin Gandapur, providing a Rs. 500,000 grant to all minority churches to help them celebrate their religious festivals properly.
Minister Shah assured that the provincial government had ensured full protection and security for the minority community during the Christmas celebrations. Additionally, gifts were distributed to minority children to spread joy and goodwill on this festive occasion.
