Taekwondo competitions conclude at Hayatabad Sports Complex Peshawar

The two-day Taekwondo competitions have concluded at Hayatabad Sports Complex Peshawar. Players participated in the competitions in different categories of Under-10, Under-12 and Under-16.
The tournament was organized under the supervision of Peshawar Taekwondo Association in collaboration with the Directorate of Sports Khyber Pakhtunkhwa under the leadership of Regional Sports Officer Kashif Farhan. In various competitions and events of the event, Hisham, Ayan Ghassan, Muharram, Samarzeb won gold medals, Ayan Khan, Omar, Gulalai, Areeba, Talha won silver medals, while Ezzatullah, Fayyaz, Nazia, Al Rana and Haris won brown medals.
On this occasion, Chief Commissioner F B Peshawar Farooq Jamil was the special guest along with Kashif Farhan, Ilyas Afridi, Abid Afridi, Nazia Ali, Javed Khan. A large number of parents and spectators participated.
Regional Sports Officer Kashif Farhan, while talking to media representatives, said that according to the public agenda of Chief Minister Sardar Ali Amin Khan Gandapur, the Directorate of Sports, under the leadership of Minister for Sports Syed Fakhar Jahan and under the supervision of Director General Sports, is organizing various sports activities for the youth of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from club level to national level.
Special guest Farooq Jamil, while addressing the players, said that sports activities play a major role in improving the physical quality of children and which helps them in moving forward in different areas of their lives.
He said that there is a lot of talent in our province, a clear example of which was the great and brilliant performance of our children in the Quaid-e-Azam Games. Later, he distributed medals among the children and congratulated the organizers on the excellent event.
