PESHAWAR: Police in Bannu successfully foiled a terrorist plot by recovering and defusing a large quantity of explosives packed inside a plastic container. According to police on Sunday, around 15 to 20 kilograms of explosive material were discovered within the jurisdiction of Cantonment Police Station on Masoomabad Mamandkhel Road. A Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) team promptly responded and safely neutralized the device, preventing a potential tragedy. District Police Officer (DPO) Kalachi, Saleem Abbasi, praised the swift action of the Cantonment Police and BDS team, stating that their timely response averted a major disaster. He reaffirmed the police’s commitment to ensuring the safety of citizens’ lives and property, adding that the nefarious designs of anti-state elements will be firmly thwarted. APP
