In a successful joint operation conducted by police, the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Bannu Region, and the Peace Committee, security forces targeted terrorists in the various areas of the district.
The operation, which took place in mountainous terrain, led to a fierce exchange of gunfire between the terrorists and the security forces.
According to district police, one terrorist was killed during the clash, and his body was recovered by the police.
However, in the course of the operation, a police constable sustained injuries and was promptly transported to a hospital for treatment.
DIG Bannu Region, Sajjad Khan, and DPO Lakki Marwat, Nazir Khan, were present at the scene and played an active role in leading the operation.
The police took swift and effective action, targeting the terrorists with precision.
Speaking on the operation, DIG Sajjad Khan reaffirmed the commitment to protecting public safety, stating, “The protection of public life and property remains our top priority, and we will continue our relentless operations against terrorists to ensure the safety of our citizens.”
