PESHAWAR: In an act of sheer terrorism, militants carried out an attack in the Bakkakhel area of district Bannu, blowing up a Basic Health Unit (BHU) with explosive material. According to districtvpolice, the powerful explosion caused extensive damage to the building, however, no loss of life was reported. Following the blast, police and security forces cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to trace the perpetrators behind the attack. Officials condemned the incident, terming it an attack on public welfare and humanity, and reaffirmed their commitment to eliminating terrorism and ensuring lasting peace in the region. APP
