Ansari says Pakhtunkhwa police in a state of war with terrorists

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Muazzam Jah Ansari on Tuesday asserted police fought against terrorism successfully and they would not be allowed to engulf precious lives of people in the province, adding that KP is currently in a state of war which has to be fought and won at any cost.
Lead from the front and foil the nefarious designs of the terrorists with iron fists was the sole motive of the force, he added, stressing the need for national unity and courage.
IGP-KP Moazzam Jah Ansari expressed these views while presiding over a high-level meeting at the Central Police Office.
In a meeting held at the Central Police Office Peshawar, Fatiha was recited for the souls of the police officers and youths who were martyred in the Peshawar Police Line blast.
Additional IGPs Headquarters, Investigation, Commandant Elite Force, FRP, DIGs Special Branch, Headquarters, Training, Traffic, Operations, Finance and Procurement, Investigation, Telecommunication, AIGs Training, Establishment, Deputy Commandant Elite Force, AIG Welfare and SSP Coordination Peshawar attended the meeting.
The forum reviewed the overall process of investigation and rescue measures and overall security arrangements in the Police Lines Peshawar.
On this occasion, the police chief issued necessary instructions to further tighten the security arrangements across the province.
The police chief said that the whole world has unconditionally recognized the sacrifices made by the KP police in war against terrorism.
He said that the capabilities of the Pakhtunkhwa Police, whose men have put their precious lives on the palm of their hands and performed their sacred duties beyond public expectations.
Moazam Jah Ansari maintained that the morale of the police force is high and the force is fully equipped with latest weapons and skill to deal with challenges of terrorism and lawlessness.
He said that the men of the force sacrificed their precious lives for the survival of the motherland with great determination and bravery in adverse conditions and did not allow any harm to the security of their country.
The IGP said that the KP Police is currently in a state of war which has to be fought and won at all costs and directed the top police officials to lead their force from the front and thwart the evil intentions of the terrorists.
The police chief further directed the participants of the meeting to visit the houses of all the martyrs and also participate in their “Qal” with all necessary arrangements and give immediate cash assistance to each martyred and seriously injured personnel.
DIG Operations was also directed to prepare and send a separate circular regarding security to all field units.
In the meeting, prayers were prayed for the high status of police martyrs, the speedy recovery of the injured and the unity and integrity of the country.
Meanwhile, the funeral prayers of the 10 police officers, including two DSPs, were offered in the provincial capital. The dead bodies of the above-mentioned police officer were recovered from the rubble of the mosque caved in as result of the blast.
During the operations that ended after 24 hours of the incident was participated by the engineers of the Pakistan Army in the Police Lines Peshawar
