Lahore.(INP) Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) has successfully trained four thousand unemployed youth as security guard under free training program. TEVTA will free train 18000 unemployed youth as security guard during the year.
Initially two thousand youth will be provided free security guard training at 20 TEVTA Institutes across the province of the Punjab during this month. Chairperson TEVTA IrfanQaiser Sheikh was addressing the officers at a meeting to review the progress of the ongoing course here yesterday at TEVTA Secretariat .
IrfanQaiser Sheikh said that as per vision of Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and in view of present law and order situation in the country, TEVTA has launched a five week training program with the collaboration of Pak Army, Police, Civil Defence, Elite Force, Rescue 1122 Department to reduce the crime rate and terrorism across the province of the Punjab.
This initiative will also fulfill the security requirements of security companies and renowned organizations.
Chairperson TEVTA further said that the special branch clearance is compulsory for admission. The said course is successfully running at Lahore, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Jhelum, Rawalpindi, Attock, Sheikhpura, Faisalabad, Mianwali, Sahiwal Multan, Sargodha, Bahawalpur, D.G. Khan and Rahim Yar Khan to train unemployed youth in this sector. Both TEVTA and Home Department issue certificate after successful completion.
